Welcome to my world.
I am a strong willed, water-loving, always hungry black labrador from Sydney, Australia. I take my owner for a walk every day and this is a journal of my adventures.
So cute! Yet, so mischievous .
Yes – looks can be very deceiving.
Hey Ruby you gorgeous thing, what great taste in chicken you have, organic chicken no less! Thanks so much for visiting my blog and liking and referring my post! So cute that you and my Ruby are the same type of dogs and have the same name. Hugs ♥
Yes and my home is in Paddington, Sydney which is the same name as your gorgeous golden retreiver. Your photos are brilliant and you are right about the importance of light. Where you live, like in Sydney, light is a fantastic asset. Will think about colour photos now too.
:) You live in Paddington, amazing! Thanks for the wonderful compliment.
Oh my goodness! What a strange co-inky-dink, thanks for the beautiful comment about my images ♥
Hi there! I just recognize you for the Best Moment Award. :) http://cottagegrovehouse.com/2013/05/10/best-moment-award-thank-you-lilly-sues-bites-and-brews/
Wow – thank you very much. I’m very touched. Have posted and nominated the next winners here
Thank you so much for following our blog! ~ Have a great day! :)
Thank you. Hope you enjoy looking at Ruby’s adventures.
Thank you very much for the ‘follow’ on ‘understanding your dog’, it’s very encouraging.
You’re very welcome – I enjoyed reading your posts. Need all the insights into the workings of a dog’s mind I can get :)
Hi, it’s great to meet you!
You too and I love the sound of Clowie’s voice in my head. Because he’s such a large breed and a large presence it feels he has more wisdom and insight than most dogs.
Hi Ruby! It’s so nice to meet you. You sure a pretty girl. I am not able to take my dogs for a walk every single day so I know they would jealous to hear about your walks. I’ll just keep that a little secreat between us. I’ll be following you.
Thanks for following me! I’m a lucky dog – get a long walk in a huge park in the morning and a street walk at night. I need it though – to keep me looking slim and trim.
Hi, thanks for dropping by my blog. Before we met Beau, we were offered a black lab at the Big Dog Rescue. But by the time we could make it there, he was already adopted.
Beau has been with us since November 2012. He’s now 19 months old. We’re still puzzled as to why he was given up. He’s such a sweet loving friend!
Ruby’s eyes have so much soul in them. Gosh, I am such a softy for labs, no matter what color they come as.
Yes she’s an old soul too. All knowing, very affectionate (even today when she still stinks of fish) and a happy dog. We love her most of the time.
Thanks for dropping by my blog Ruby! and i think i will have to stick around and follow yours..Labra-stomachs are the best doggies ;)
You’re welcome – hope you enjoy reading about some of the stuff Ruby gets up to.
I am sure i will :)
Hi, Ruby – you are a beauty! Thanks for stopping by my blog. My Max is a St. Bernard/Lab mix and he thinks you are gorgeous. We look forward to following your adventures.
Thanks! Max is gorgeous too. Hoping your blog can offer me and my owner some tips. I am generally well behaved though! and spent a year progressing through dog training ranks. Easy to train when so food motivated!
Hope you find my blog helpful! My passion is helping dogs by educating people. Love your photos.
Naaaw! Adorable! So happy that you visited my blog Ruby… otherwise, I may never have found you and your beautiful adventures! Can’t wait to keep reading :)
Thank you – really hope you enjoy reading about the things I get up to :)

That’s quite ok! Made your Okonomayaki on holiday – such a delicious way to use up winter cabbage and I loved the sauce. Managed to get some kewpie mayonnaise to mix with the soy. Will now be a staple along with our normal stir fry. We are veggie/vegan so I look forward tp making many more of your recipes:)
I’m so glad you liked it! Hopefully my other recipes will meet your expectations, too :)
I love the simplicity of your blog posts! We have a black lab in the family, Oscar, and the complete opposite here at home, a white German shepherd, Sam :)
I look forward to reading more!
Thank you – I’m fairly new to all of this but am enjoying sharing Ruby’s stories (although I don’t always enjoy what happens in them!) and I hope you like reading my posts. Thanks for following :)

Aww shucks. Hope you enjoy reading about my adventures :)
You are so cute and M sure u make ur owner run and smile with u:)
Thank you for visiting and yes, will make sure I give my owner plenty of exercise :)
Ruby! We look so much alike! Except I have a white blaze on my chest, which means mum and dad weren’t both labs but … My name’s Cooper, though my people sometimes call me Jaxxon … apparently they had a yellow lab before me. And apparently we’re the greatest thing since sliced bread – they keep telling me how wonderful I am … “Cooper’s such a STAR”. Life’s good.
Wow your mum takes great photos! Sometimes I get called by my human sister’s name (and vice versa). What’s in a name anyway – I just listen out for the ‘eee’ sounds in Ruby. Nice to meet you :)
Hi Ruby, you have won me over. We love Labradors and have always had a Labrador friend. Our current one is Maggie and she has featured several times. Thanks for visiting WoollyMuses blog…I think we will follow you to see what mischief you are up to.
Thanks for visiting and I hope you keep you entertained!
Hello Ruby, I’m Freda a deerhound lurcher. I’m only 10 weeks old but my owner has been reading your blog to me.
hello Freda – lovely to meet you. hope you are picking up on some good tips from me. keep in touch :)
I am a strong willed, water-loving, always hungry gringa from Canada. Everyday I face challenges of living in a developing 3rd world country. Have a bit in common with Ruby! And, jejeje, damn loyal tooooo!

Ruby is gorgeous. Wonderful photo. We’re being flies on the wall cause our biped is very busy these days but we’ll be with you in spirit all the way. wag wag, Max & Bella
Hi Max and Bella – lovely to meet you. Persuade your human to detach itself from whatever it is that is keeping them busy and head for the hills:)
would you please tell your person that i nominated your blog for an award?
i enjoy reading about you and your person’s adventures
and also seeing what you look like
it inspires me and brightens my day.
to read more about the award, follow this link
the award reminds me of a kinder version of a chain letter
wishing you all good things
Thank you very much for your nomination. I’m really happy you enjoy what Ruby gets up to! Interesting you would donate to a Tibetan charity. I cycled across Tibet a couple of years ago from Lhasa to Kathmandu, via Everest Base Camp – truly wonderful:)
omigosh what an amazing journey…
how fortunate for you to have those memories…
if you ever write about it, send a link to my blog – i’d love to see
Thanks! I did write a book but spent a year trying to get it published. Mix of the journey and the stories of Tibetans I met on the way. It’s sitting on the shelf. Maybe blog land might be a place for it. What do you think?
the blog-world can benefit from the efforts & enjoyments & reflections of your journey in Tibet
(a place not many get to visit…)
thank you i’m looking forward to reading it!
Ruby, you are so like my old black lab, Bodger, used to be. I just have to follow you, for that reason alone ~ hugs lovely dog ~ Amelia
Thanks Amelia – Bodger is a great name! Hope you enjoy reading about Ruby and it brings a knowing smile to your face:)
I am really looking forward to reading all the posts ~ Amelia :)
She’s ADORABLE!!! I have two black labs and one’s name is Ruby too!! :)
What a coincidence. Do hope you like reading about my Ruby!
Hi Ruby! I’ve been wondering where your posts have been and it turns out that I must have accidentally unfollowed you! Apologies… I’m all caught up now. Hope you are all ok!
