What a beautiful city

IMG_1220

How good is this view?

Every so often it’s good to get out of the eastern suburbs of Sydney, cross the bridge and venture to the dark, north side of the city. ย There’s a whole world of harbour walks, different on/off leash restrictions and plenty of new smells.

Pottered around the foreshore yesterday afternoon for three hours, plodging in the mud, running down into little bays, getting frightened by bush turkeys and admiring the views back to the city. ย Had great swims, saw some aboriginal rock carvings and only ate one dead fish.

Love it when we break the routine and try something different. Rumour has it that we’re going on holiday next week to a completely dog friendly, 2 km long, off leash all day beach – yay!

Yes they were thanks. And I saw a running possum (strange to see one in the daytime) and some rabbits (feral pests) – all too fast for me to catch ๐Ÿ™‚

Great view! Bush turkeys? Always thought ruby is a fearless adventurer that can’t be scared of anything :p still it sounds like a great day for both of you ๐Ÿ™‚

I know, I know, generally fearless but these things are strange looking and she was genuinely spooked!

Great to hear you ventured to the wonderful north Ruby. Don’t you get Brush Turkey in the east? I have to chase them out of the yard. Mum offering me out to a friend to help manage a Brush Turkey trying to build a nest in her back yard. The joys of surburbia.
