Got an itch

IMG_2030

Am up to date with my flea and tick treatment but every time I sit down I feel the need for a good scratch. Owner wonders whether this just a bad habit or if I have a permanent itchy spot.

My mum loves it when I stop and scratch mid course… When you gotta scratch then you gotta scratch.
Name tag looking very pretty too… Nice accessory.

I know but I can’t seem to stop. Name tag is the one the nice lady found when I’d lost it for a week:)

Itchies are the worst! Boomer and Dottie get them too, but theirs are usually from allergies.

Scratching is what dogs do best? But yes, I can do less with the scratching thank you. Looks are fly away dog hair on floor*

Yes my point exactly. Our house has a permanent sheen of black hair and loadsd more come out when Ruby scratches!

It just feels so darn good doesn’t it?

I know but everytime she’s stationary????? At traffic lights, when I’ve just taken her lead off at the park, when she comes into the house?

Strange affliction for dogs of the world then – I knew you meant Mollie!

I even banned her from my bedroom, spent ages checking her over.. I wondered if maybe she’d been bitten by a horsefly or something.

I know exactly what you mean Ruby! I get itchy when I get excited. We did rally competition for awhile and I would get so excited in the ring that I would have to stop and have a good scratch. It made the Mom Person sigh a lot and brought out a lot of laughter from the spectators. I didn’t understand.

They don’t understand us at all either. Can quite see where you’re coming from – it’s only natural after all:)

I have permanent itchy spots like that too Ruby and Simba as well. Just a pity we never have someone to scratch hey? LOL!

Ruby’s getting worse though – think it’s just a habit now rather than a real need!

Haha maybe your skin is stretching. 🙂

    To itch is canine,
    To scratch? Divine!
