Exhaustion set in after about twelve fetches in the pond today. Glad of the coolness but was a bit over-exuberant and collapsed, spreadeagled on the hall floor when I got home. Need to pace myself tomorrow.
Good luck with that. I have never known a lab that has ever paced themselves. All of ours have always gone and gone and gone until they couldn’t go anymore.
I can see that you have had a good time … I can´t understand why its so fun to fetch a stick … But then i´m not a Labrador 😉 … And i must say that i´m little bit afraid of the water … Yarri 🙂
Actually there is a doggy day spa near our house but mum won’t let me go because it’s for silly, little spoilt doggies. Although I hear the water in the swimming pool there is warm…
I only learnt to swim in my late 20s when I came to Australia (gulp) – don’t love it but can tolerate the sea (only after xmas time when the water is nicely warmed. When Ruby was little she chased another dog into the sea and after a bit of a panic realised she could swim – that was it – no looking back!
She was so happy and kept coming back for more. The ponds are much further from home though so there was quite a bit of paw dragging and sitting down on the way home…
Big effort Ruby!
Huge effort and you should see the size of the log!

Good to hear. Ruby is the same way. From zero to a hundred in 2 secs and then flopped exhausted!

Oh Yarri – get someone to chase you in and splash around and then you’ll get the hang of it. Water is great fun!
Pace!! oh dear well that will never happen sweet Ruby 🙂 take care in the heat hugs Fozziemum xx
Yup – you’re absolutely right. Dial right up or dial right down:)
No in between hehe 🙂
Swimming fetches are one of Boomer’s favorite things!
It’s it such fun. Hope you’ve moved near some water:)
You need a spa-team what gives you massages and treats after your adventures:o)

I hope it’s warm, because they have a heater of from sun… and not because of other things LOL
mmm not sure it’s that environmentally friendly! – it should be given we have so much sun! we buy windpower from our electricity provider…
Looks like you had fun doing it though!
I did!!
Ruby, you are one tough girl! Woooowoooooo!
No I’m just a mermaid!
Great pond. Great stick. Great fun!
Yes an all round good walk!
the human wishes she was that good a swimmer… Donna… we don’t even know if she can swim 😀

Twelve fetches! That is a lot for sure Ruby. I would do one and drown. LOL!
Great shot Charlie! Love it! 😀 *hugs*

Awww shame, I am sure. I want to buy a pram for Simba. He can’t walk to the dam and back anymore. My little man is getting old…
Sounds like a great idea. Some people have backpack/slings for their little dogs – a good way for the dog to get out and about and get some stimulus!
Another terrific image of Ruby in action! Looking good! 🙂
yay – she did look good – all sleek and slim and very wet when she came out. she loves the water:)
Water fetch is the best!
Yes I love it – not really good on dry land – much prefer water:)
