Looking backwards, looking forwards

IMG_2501

Sad day behind me, time to buck up and be a rabbit. Lovely walk, bone for lunch, fire threat gone. All is right with my world. How about yours?

Good girl Ruby always look to where you want to be and leave the past behind…always grateful for the lesson you learned along the way..we are glad the fires have seemed to settle and we hope you had a great day hugs Fozziemum xx

Glad to hear things are getting back to normal.

Yes they are – weather changed yesterday and people started going home again. Lots of great tales of wildlife and pet rescue:)

Hi! I have a real lazy day … Weather is grey and boring … Rain is falling down and i donΒ΄t like to be out in such weather … So i stay in bed today … // Yarri πŸ™‚

Yarri – you lucky dog! (apart from the rain of course, although I do like water rain is different)

I’m glad today is better than yesterday. maybe Scarlett O’ Hara was right with: after all, tomorrow is another day…

Ruby you are right. The only way to look is forwards, sun is shining here in Ireland and I’m having a great day in the sun. Bob.

    • rubytheblacklabrador / Oct 25 2013 5:02 am

Exactly! I love sitting in the sun too although I do tend to get a bit hot with my black coat:)

The fire threat is gone? That’s WONDERFUL! Did you finally get some rain?

It’s great that you can move forward so quickly after such a sad day! That’s why I love non-human animals — especially dogs — so much!! If only we humans would take the time to REALLY sit down and chill out long enough to learn from you dogs the world would be a much better place!!

Threat gone, filres ‘under control’ but no, no rain. It won’t rain here for weeks. Back burning and getting rid of grass fuel at the low level is the only way to stop things. Head of the rural fire service here has been just fantastic. A huge effort from thousands of volunteers:)

Animals live in the moment, sometimes that is the best way to cope.

Thankful the fire threat is gone! Have a “hoppy” day being a rabbit, Ruby. πŸ™‚

Glad to hear things have taken a turn for the better in your world Ruby – go enjoy it!

Happy to hear the world is looking better Ruby.

We are a bit excited as DogsNSW have some fundraisers planned including an Agility Trial (and I have heard mention of a cake stall) and also some Virtual Trials…. haven’t done a virtual trial before but I hear we enter and pay our entry fees like we normally would. A catalogue and everything is produced but instead of having to run I get to lay on the lounge and snooze while all our entry fees go to the fundraising pool…. I hope there are still treats involved.

    • rubytheblacklabrador / Oct 25 2013 2:47 pm

Virtual trials sound like a great idea!

Wow – very interesting. Let’s go for it shall we?? I’m linked into Centenntial and Moore Park Trust too where the lucky finalists will be invited to lunch – with their dogs in a special tent?! I don’t think so. I’ll enter if you will!! might be fun:)

      • 1st World Dog / Oct 25 2013 10:09 pm

Entered Ruby… So expect to see you entered too. You have to highlight the C2S incident in your entry. There is an award for the most humorous.
