Black Lab bias! My little 5 month old chocolate Lab puppy thinks she meets the requirements of your group except that she has some brown hairs mixed with her black hairs. Half the time she looks black and half the time she looks chocolate. And she has a band of white hairs on her tail and wavy hair along her back. I don’t think she fits the AKC standards but she certainly exudes “Labness”.

Good luck with the 5 months old! – I thought when Ruby hit 3 (in August) she had settled but she is proving me wrong again at the moment.

Oh Boy. Ms. Ketli is finding all kinds of things in the house that she never noticed before. I am beginning to wonder if our house will be stuck with puppy proofing decor (ie stuff way up on tables and blocked off by gates etc and covered by rugs(electrical cords) etc..) years to come.

Yes you will – we went and picked up child gates from throw out days to barracade our house!

I just found your blog, and am enjoying your stories & photos. I’ll be following for more! It’s been many years since a Lab graced our house, so it’s good to have experience the joys vicariously.

If you like to read dog stories, try http://maijaharrington.com, where I’m posting chapters from my book-in-progress, Funny Tails: Adventures & Misadventures in Living with Pugs. It’s a lighthearted look at my life with our 3 pugs as well as various foster pugs. So far, readers think it’s really funny. (It’s G-rated. And it’s free, not trying to sell you anything.)
